Klassifikations-problemet |
The classifikation problem There is a pertinent problem in the classification of astrological material. The only exsisting standard of subjects on astrology is UDC, the Universal Decimal Classification system, which is used in most any research library. Or varieties thereof such as the earlier Dewey Decimal Classification, DDC, or Library of Congress Classification, LCC, or the simplified version, DK, that is used in public libraries and school libraries in Denmark. Throughout these systems that started off by DDC in 1876, astrology is classified under group 1, PHILOSOPHY, and more specifically under 'the occult problem' - which of course is but a fraction of the needed research field. UDC is for this reason not applicable in AMFORA the data base for international research in astrology. A more Factual Order is produced as a suggestion, called ADC classification. |

Der er et alvorligt problem med at klassificere astrologisk materiale. Den eneste emne-standard, der til nu findes for astrologi er UDC, det universelle decimal klassifikations system, som benyttes på stor set alle forskningsbiblioteker. Eller varianter heraf, så som det tidligere Deweys Decimal Classification, DDC, eller Library of Congress Classifcation, LCC, samt den forenklede udgave, Decimal Klassifikations systemet DK, der anvendes på danske folkebiblioteker, skolebiblioteker etc. Overalt i disse systemer, der begyndte med DCC i 1876, er astrologi rubriceret under gruppe 1, FILOSOFI, og nærmere betegnet under 'det okkulte problem' - hvilket kun er en brøkdel af det nødvendige forskningsfelt.
